The program provided a platform for students to engage with pressing environmental issues while exploring the role of young people in shaping a more sustainable future.

At the invitation of the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Buea, lectures were delivered on climate action, environmental governance, and youth engagement in policy processes. The dialogue reached approximately 250 students, increasing awareness of climate challenges and empowering participants to become active contributors to environmental solutions within their communities and beyond.

The program also featured participation in high-level panel discussions involving academics, development practitioners, policymakers, and students. These exchanges encouraged critical thinking, collaboration, and knowledge sharing on pathways to sustainable development and climate resilience.

By creating opportunities for learning, dialogue, and engagement, the Commonwealth Climate Action Dialogue helped strengthen youth leadership, promote environmental awareness, and inspire greater participation in climate and sustainability initiatives.
